David Beckham Wants a Fifth Child

David Beckham Wants a Fifth Child

Soccer star David Beckham and his wife Victoria may have their hands full with four children, Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, 8, Cruz, 6, and newborn Harper Seven, who they welcomed in July. But, as Beckham told Ellen Degeneres on Friday morning's The Ellen DeGeneres Show, he is not ruling out a fifth child.

"If we were lucky enough to have another one, it would be great," Beckham, 36, told Ellen. "We always spoke about having a big family. We love children," said Becks, who has previously spoken of the couple's desire to add to their growing brood. "We are very blessed to have four healthy children so if one comes along that would be amazing."

There is, of course, the "seven" factor to consider. As evidenced by baby Harper's middle name, the Beckhams have a soft spot for the number seven. And why wouldn't they? Harper Seven was born at 7:55 Los Angeles time in the seventh month of the year, on the seventh day of the week, and she weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz. And, when David played for Manchester United, 7 was his number -- so the couple have always considered it very lucky.

Noting the Beckham obsession with the number, DeGeneres joked: "You want five kids, so then it's a seven. That's probably why you're doing it."

"What can say?" Beckham laughed. "I love the number seven."

In the meantime, the Beckham couple is clearly in love with the new addition to their family, and David even got a tattoo in honor of his first daughter! There will be plenty of time to add another should they feel so inclined.

So lucky number seven can wait... for now.
