Lady Gaga Brings 'Personality' To 'Gnomeo & Juliet' Duet, Elton John Says

'We're just so thrilled she took time out of her incredibly busy schedule to do it,' singer tells 'Access Hollywood' of 'Hello, Hello.'

Lady Gaga previewed a remixed cut from her new album, Born This Way, last week, and on February 8, the pop star's "Gnomeo & Juliet" duet with Elton John will arrive.

After gushing about Gaga's performance at his White Tie & Tiara Ball charity event last year, John told "Access Hollywood" that he approached the singer about singing on "Hello, Hello."

"We became friends, and I adore her," he said. "I told her about the song, and she said, 'I'd love to do it,' and she did it. We're just so thrilled she took time out of her incredibly busy schedule to do it."

John said Gaga put her own spin on the pop tune, which he produced with longtime partner David Furnish. "She had fun with it and changed it a little bit and brought her own personality to it, so she gave Juliet that personality," he said.

The singer/songwriter was also pleased about another lady who joined him on the soundtrack. "It was always going to be a duet, and it's like, 'Who am I going to sing this with?' " John recalled thinking about "Hello, Hello." "It turned out to be Gaga, and then at the end of the film, I sing with Nelly Furtado, so it's like two great girls on one soundtrack, so I'm thrilled."

Amazon has uploaded a preview of the song, but the clip only includes Elton's part.

It's no surprise that the song has already received praise from one of Gaga's biggest supporters, Perez Hilton. On Monday (January 24), after attending the "Gnomeo & Juliet" world premiere, the blogger wrote: "We are pleased to report that the Elton and Gaga duet, 'Hello Hello,' is an A+. Such a lovely song! It actually reminds us of classic Beatles!"

Are you excited to hear "Hello, Hello"? Tell us in the comments!

On the East Coast, revenue streams are slowly rising as banks are still cratering and trying to recover from the recession. But out West, money ain't a thing, as Jermaine Dupri and Jay-Z once rapped.

Forbes has released their list of Hollywood's 20 Highest Earners of 2010, with Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus among those rubbing elbows with the likes of power players like Oprah Winfrey.

The venerable talk-show host topped the list with a whopping $315 million haul. Winfrey's earnings were generated for the most part by her multimedia deals, which include a syndication deal for her TV show, a magazine and her soon-to-be-launched network.

"Avatar" creator James Cameron came in second, more than $100 million behind Winfrey, with a tally of $210 million. Director and playwright Tyler Perry ($125 million), blockbuster movie producer Michael Bay ($120 million) and golfer Tiger Woods ($105 million) rounded out the top five.

Beyoncé was the only pop star to break the top 10. The "Single Ladies" superstar landed at #9, sandwiched between George Lucas and Dr. Phil. Mrs. Carter, whose hubby, Jay-Z, was named Hip-Hop's Cash King by Forbes in August with a tally of $63 million, pulled down $87 million over the past 12 months.

The blond-haired trio of Britney Spears ($64 million), Lady Gaga ($62 million) and Madonna ($58 million) made their mark on the list at numbers 13, 14 and 15, respectively.

Pop tarts Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift capped the list. The young stars placed at 18 and 19 on the list, with Disney star Cyrus pocketing $48 million, and country singer Swift depositing $45 million into her bank account.

Hollywood's 20 highest-earning men and women of 2010, according to Forbes:

1. Oprah Winfrey, $315 million
2. James Cameron, $210 million
3. Tyler Perry, $125 million
4. Michael Bay, $120 million
5. Tiger Woods, $105 million
6. Jerry Bruckheimer, $100 million
7. Steven Spielberg, $100 million
8. George Lucas, $95 million
9. Beyoncé, $87 million
10. Dr. Phil, $80 million
11. Simon Cowell, $80 million
12. Jerry Seinfeld, $75 million

Michael Jackson Doctor To Claim Singer Killed Himself

Prosecutor thinks Dr. Conrad Murray's lawyers will say Jackson self-administered lethal dose of propofol.
By Gil Kaufman

More than 19 months after Michael Jackson's shocking death at the age of 50, the only person charged in the case, the singer's former personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray, is due in court next week. And, according to a Reuters report, Murray's lawyers plan to defend Murray against a charge of involuntary manslaughter by claiming that the pop icon killed himself when he self-administered a large dose of propofol, a surgical anesthetic Jackson used as a sleep aid to combat chronic insomnia.

Murray has pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of involuntary manslaughter and has admitted to giving Jackson propofol. Murray's lawyers have said the physician did not administer any drugs that "should have" caused Jackson's death. The investigation into his death was lengthy, lasting more than eight months, after which Los Angeles prosecutors charged that Murray gave the King of Pop a lethal combination of propofol and other painkillers and sedatives in the hours before the singer was found dead in his rented Los Angeles mansion on June 25, 2009. Murray faces up to four years in prison if convicted.

Reuters reported that in a Wednesday court session to discuss evidence in the case against Murray, Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney David Walgren said he thinks that the doctor's attorneys appear to be preparing a defense claiming that Jackson self-administered the lethal dose while Murray was out of the room.

Murray's attorney would not respond to questions about Walgren's statements. Murray's trial is slated to begin on January 4 with a preliminary hearing that will determine if there is enough evidence to proceed to a full trial. Prosecutors and defense attorneys said they expect the preliminary hearing to take around two weeks.

Usher's 'OMG' Is MTV News' #1 Song Of 2010!

Club smash, featuring will.i.am, tops our list of the Top 25 Songs of the year.
By James Montgomery

Photo: Getty Images

MTV News' Top 25 Songs of 2010 has reached an end. We've already counted down the rest, and now it's time to get to the best: Usher's "OMG," the song that perfectly sums up the past 12 months of popular music — and makes you wanna move until you can't move no more.

If 2010 proved anything, it's that a DJ really can save your life ... or at least get you to #1 on the Hot 100. After years of staring at each other from across the room, hip-hop, pop and R&B all decided to finally get in bed with dance music, and the results weren't always pretty, but they were certainly successful. To date, only 17 songs have made it to the top spot of Billboard's singles chart in 2010, and nearly two-thirds of them — from Ke$ha's "Tik Tok" to Far East Movement's "Like a G6" — were, in some way, dance songs.

In that regard, no song better sums up 2010 pop music quite like Usher's "OMG," the dance song to end all dance songs. Sure, it may not have matched the swagger of Kanye West's "Power," the snarl of Rick Ross' "B.M.F. (Blowin' Money Fast)" or the inbox-clogging spread of Cee Lo's "F--- You," but it didn't have to. None of those songs went to #1, after all. "OMG" did. Twice.

Even among songs that managed to snag that top spot — Eminem and Rihanna's "Love the Way You Lie," Katy Perry's "California Gurls," B.o.B and Bruno Mars' "Nothin' on You" — "OMG" stood out from the pack, mostly because of its pedigree. It's not a stretch to say that any of those tracks could've (and probably would've) been #1 in any other year; "OMG" could only have done it in 2010, because it was crafted to do nothing else. No other song this year was as of the moment, as singular and shiny and downright undeniable. There's a reason it was named on more ballots than any other song on our countdown and justly takes the title of MTV News' #1 Song of 2010.

And while all that is important, it's largely beside the point. "OMG" is the kind of song that truly defies deep inspection, because it's not exactly headphone music. Rather, it was made for the clubs, designed to envelop you on the dance floor and not let go until the final "oh-ohh-oh-ooh-oh." And in that regard, it succeeds in spades. It is a masterful melding of R&B, and Euro dance, all icy synths and handclaps, starbursts and stutters and sing-along chants. It ebbs and flows, stops and starts, pumps and preens. Simply put, you cannot listen to it without moving in some way. (MTV's Dee Caligiuri, who voted on our countdown, probably put it best one night when she declared: "There are so many dances you can do to it!") And if that's not the definition of a success, well, then I don't know what is.

A large portion of the credit for "OMG" has to go to will.i.am, who not only produced the track (I know!), but was smart enough to see this whole dance thing coming when he teamed up with producer David Guetta last year. Those songs — "Boom Boom Pow" and "I Gotta Feeling" — were, of course, massive, but neither of them are as good as this. Given full control, Will goes off the deep end, cramming the song with every dance trick in the book — and probably some new ones he just invented on the spot. And Usher, whose career, truth be told, was sort of in need of a shot in the arm, is the beneficiary. He floats and gloats above the mix, suave and cocksure, knowing that he is exactly the right man at the right time. That time, of course, had to be 2010.

Because in a year when so many big-name acts embraced the DJ, he flat-out did it better than any of them. "OMG" represents the peak of the dance-pop era in which we live, a song as undeniable as it is of the moment. We can only speculate as to what next year will bring, but there's really no denying that, as 2010 comes to a close, Usher stands above all else, reinvigorated and ready for more. It's enough to make you say "Oh My God," really.

How does Usher's "OMG" rank among the year's best songs? Let us know in the comments!

MTV News' Top 25 Songs of 2010 have all been counted down. But the fun isn't over yet: We still want to see your picks in the comments below!

Beyonce, Leonardo DiCaprio Lead Flurry Of Movie Remakes

Russell Brand, Willow Smith, Jonah Hill are just a few stars looking to revamp film and TV classics like 'Arthur', 'Annie' and '21 Jump Street.'
By Terri Schwartz

What do Willow Smith and Beyoncé have in common with Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill and Kenny Wormald? They're all starring (or in talks to star) in the latest round of remakes of beloved films and TV shows coming down the pike.

On Thursday, news broke that Beyoncé would be starring in a Clint Eastwood-directed remake of the 1976 Barbra Streisand classic "A Star Is Born" (which was a remake of a 1954 movie that remade a 1937 film). In the meantime, Will Smith is reportedly petitioning Sony to remake "Annie" (the 1982 movie and 1977 musical) starring his 10-year-old daughter, Willow, best known for whipping her hair.

In October it was announced that Leonardo DiCaprio and best bud Tobey Maguire would be starring in Baz Luhrmann's 3-D retelling of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel "The Great Gatsby," with Carey Mulligan joining as Daisy Buchanan.

Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum have been working on bringing the '80s Johnny Depp-starring television series "21 Jump Street" to the big screen since 2008, and they might even get Depp to cameo in it in time for the film's March 16, 2012, release date.

And let's not forget the long hunt for a Ren McCormack (the character Kevin Bacon made famous in 1984), after Zac Efron and Chace Crawford dropped out of the planned "Footloose" remake that finally landed dancer Kenny Wormald the role of his life.

Then there's "Arthur," the Russell Brand-starring remake of the 1981 screwball comedy about a happily drunk millionaire who risks everything for love. The film has tapped everyone from Helen Mirren to Greta Gerwig and Nick Nolte.

Two recently announced remakes are "Lethal Weapon" and "The Wizard of Oz," which are still in early development and without stars attached. Warner Bros. announced their plans to reboot the Mel Gibson-starring franchise on Thursday and tapped writer Will Beall to pen the script with completely new characters. And director Robert Zemeckis announced back in November that he planned on remaking the 1939 Technicolor classic using the script from the original film, with Warner Bros. hoping Robert Downey Jr. will play Oz.

Just this past year, films from "Clash of the Titans" to "The Karate Kid" to "A Nightmare on Elm Street" were remade for the big screen and were well-received by audiences. "Alice in Wonderland" and "Clash of the Titans" went on to become two of the top 10 highest-grossing films of 2010, while "Piranha 3D" and "The A-Team" also went on to strong successes, proving that there definitely is a market for these kinds of remakes.

Britney Spears Taking Risks For 'Hold It Against Me' Video

'She is taking risks when it comes to fashion, when it comes to choreography, when it comes to this music,' choreographer Brian Friedman says.
By James Dinh

In Britney Spears' "For the Record" documentary, the pop icon stressed the importance of dance in her life, even saying that she'd be "dead" without it. And on the heels of a new era in music, the singer is ready to take her signature dance skills to a whole new level in the music video for her latest single, "Hold It Against Me," according to choreographer Brian Friedman.

Speaking with MTV's "The Seven," Friedman dished details on rehearsal time, his take on the new tune and his longtime partnership with the entertainer.

"This is a dance video. Rehearsals can get pretty rough," the choreographer said. "We're playing it safe, we're not trying to kill ourselves yet, but as the video comes closer and closer, we'll definitely be hurting our backs. There was a moment while we were rehearsing where I showed Britney a section and it was something I really wanted her to do, and she freaked out. ... It's crazy when you first see something like that, how overwhelming it can be, especially when you haven't been in the [dance] studio for a year."

Despite Ms. Spears' early hesitation, the dance mastermind said it was probably the wrong section of the routine to show her first, revealing that the pop superstar has learned the moves and is "killing it now."

Reports of a new Britney music video leaked in December when the fansite BreatheHeavy.com posted a notice for auditions. "It's been the biggest buzz, you know?" he continued. "There's been a lot of speculation as to when the actual project started and it's been blowing up on my Twitter. People have been asking, 'Are you in rehearsals? Are you in auditions?' and that's the mystery that should be unknown. What we do know is we're in rehearsal studios right now and the video's coming."

How exactly does "Hold It Against Me" fare in comparison to the slew of other dance tunes under Britney's belt? Calling the iTunes chart topper "the hardest dance track that she's ever put out," Friedman said, "It's infectious. The beat gets inside of you, and just when you think you know it, it takes a turn. The song, in particular, is one of my favorite songs I've heard off the bat. I'm really excited about choreographing it."

Spears and Friedman have a long-standing professional relationship, including working together on the pop singer's 2002 dance heavy "Overprotected (Remix)" music video. Later on in his chat with "The Seven," the Illinois native recalled his first encounter with the then-teenager through a mutual friend who was dancing for her at the time. After meeting with the singer, Brian teamed up with her for her Grammy performance.

"From then on, we became friends and she is fun to work with," he gushed. "She's a Southern girl — she's all about having fun and laughing and cracking jokes. I think you can expect the unexpected from Britney. She is taking risks when it comes to fashion, when it comes to choreography, when it comes to this music — she's grown up so much, and she's pushing 30 years old soon, so she's a strong independent woman and I think she wants to show that."

Due out this year, "My Idiot Brother is directed by Jesse Peretz while being described as "a comedy centered on an idealist who barges into the lives of his three sisters."

Previously talking to MTV about his character as the idealistic organic farmer, Mr Rudd said, "I immediately go to jail for selling marijuana to a uniformed police officer. However, the character is not dumb. The character just kind of appeals to everybody's higher angels and thinks that if he throws goodness out there, it will in turn come back."

The Trumps are moving from the real-estate boom to the celebrity baby boom.

"Celebrity Apprentice" star, real-estate executive and jewelry mogul Ivanka Trump announced Friday (January 21) that she's expecting a little one with her husband, New York newspaper publisher Jared Kushner.

"I have been wanting to share some amazing news with you all for some time ... I'm pregnant!" Trump tweeted. "Jared and I couldn't be more excited." When a well-wisher doled out some e-congrats, Trump responded, "Thank you! We are beyond excited!"

The glamorous Gotham couple got hitched in October 2009 in an elaborate ceremony at, of course, the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, surrounded by 500 guests, according to People. Among the headline-making pals in attendance were Russell Crowe, Natalie Portman, Barbara Walters and Regis Philbin.

Just before the 2009 nuptials, Trump insisted she wasn't ready to become a parent due to her and her then-soon-to-be hubby's demanding careers but maintained to People, "When our time to have a family comes around, I know I will compromise."

The time has come for compromise, and Trump has also dropped a few hints about how she plans to approach motherhood, citing her enterprising parents as an inspiration.

"My parents have both led nontraditional lifestyles — but they have extremely traditional relationships with their children," Trump wrote in her book "The Trump Card: Playing to Win in Work and Life." "They might have taken me to boxing matches or trips around the world but at the end of the day they were always my parents, not my best friends."

Send your congratulations for the family in the comments!

Usher 'Got A Good Laugh' From Fan Kicking Him In The Face

'It looked worse than it actually was,' the 'OMG' singer laughs about accidental blow during concert serenade.
By Mawuse Ziegbe

Usher's club-rattling jam "OMG" may "kill it every night" according to tourmate Miguel, but when the Atlanta crooner hit Madison Square Garden earlier this week, he was almost taken out by a clumsy fan.

When the singer touched down in New York on Monday, he indulged a super amped fan's fantasy by pulling her onstage for an intimate flirty serenade of "Trading Places." As Usher and the concertgoer got cozy on a recliner, she swiveled around to face the crooner — knocking him squarely in his mug with her foot. She began apologizing profusely as Usher briefly paused to collect himself. But the superstar took the strike in stride, quipping, "We play rough in the bed. We kick each other in the face and all type of good stuff."

Although Usher brushed off the blow, the moment did make an impression on him.

"In all my years, this is one of the most interesting experiences. I got a kick out of it!" he told Us Weekly. The singer assured fans that the knock wasn't that bad. "It looked worse than it actually was. My audience and I got a good laugh."

As for the fan, the "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" star maintained everything is all good on that front too. "Wherever you are baby, don't feel bad," Usher said. "No hard feelings."

As Miguel has noted, Usher isn't one dwell on drama, whether it's cranking out another hit album or weathering an unexpected hit from a fan.

"He's such a tremendous example of perseverance and determination," Miguel recently told MTV News. "I was there throughout this album, so I've seen the adversity that he's had to overcome perception-wise."

What do you think of Usher's response to getting knocked in the head by a fan? Tell us in the comments!

George Clooney has it all: good looks, a successful career, and a mosquito-borne tropical disease. Wait, what? Yes, Clooney told Piers Morgan that he contracted malaria a couple weeks ago in Sudan. He seems oddly cheerful about it, though. Watch the clip below!

"I guess the mosquito in Juba looked at me and thought I was the bar," Clooney joked during the interview, which will air on Friday.

According to Morgan, this is actually Clooney's second bout with malaria, a tropical disease with flu-like symptoms. Malaria kills millions of people a year in third-world countries, but is easily treatable with a drug regimen.

"This illustrates how with proper medication, the most lethal condition in Africa can be reduced to a bad ten days instead of a death," says Clooney, whose rep describes him as "completely over" the disease.

The star of The American visited Sudan during the first week of January, as part of an international effort to prevent violence during the war torn nation's January 9 referendum. (The result of the referendum is that the southern part of Sudan has elected to become independent from the rest of the country.) There was great concern that President Bashir, an indicted war criminal, would incite a war between the northern and southern regions. Clooney has been working against violence in Sudan for over four years, and has met twice with President Obama to discuss United States involvement. (See a video about the actor's work in Sudan, below.)

Clooney obviously takes his humanitarian efforts seriously, but was good-natured when Morgan joked about his multiple bouts with malaria.

"You don't think President Bashir has detached a detail of sickly, vengeful mosquitos to target you whenever you arrive?" the CNN host asked.

"Yeah, I think so," responded Clooney.

Morgan later kidded Clooney via Twitter, saying, "Clooney malaria update: now have 24,563 offers to nurse him. But his rep says medication's worked and he's OK. Sorry, ladies." The interview airs Friday at 9pm on CNN.

Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way' Single To Get 'Glee' Treatment

Guest star Gwyneth Paltrow's character will also hook up romantically with Mr. Schuester.

Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" single isn't available for public consumption yet but the track is already slated to be covered by the McKinley High crooners on "Glee."

Co-creator Ryan Murphy told Entertainment Weekly that the song will be featured in an episode set to air in either March or April. The storyline will focus on gay bully Karofsky, played by Max Adler, who is in the closet. Murphy said he chose to revamp the track because of its inspirational vibe; a theme he plans to thread throughout the episode.

"I love that that song is [an] anthem," Murphy said. "This show is by nature optimistic and I think a character like Karofsky could turn to booze or pills or alcohol and kill themselves or do something dark. But I also love Max and I love that character and I sorta want that character to have a happy ending. So I don't really know what that's going to be, but I do know we're going to do a whole episode that's about that song."

The episode will likely be bookended by the release of Gaga's single in February and the drop date of her Born This Way album, which is set to hit shelves in May.

Gleeks will not only get more Gaga, but Gwyneth Paltrow will also return as saucy substitute teacher Holly Holliday, and this time she gets to heat things up with faculty heartthrob Mr. Schuester.

"Gwyneth is coming back for two episodes. She's coming back specifically to date Will [Matthew Morrison]," Murphy confirmed. "Those two have become really good friends in real life and had really good chemistry. She's coming back as a sex education teacher. Gwyneth and I are emailing, talking every week: What are we gonna sing? We're trying to do something fantastic. So she'll be [in episodes] 15 and 16. She comes back [to film] in January and she's with us for three and a half weeks I think."

Usher's 'OMG' Is MTV News' #1 Song Of 2010!

Club smash, featuring will.i.am, tops our list of the Top 25 Songs of the year.
By James Montgomery

Christina Milian Dishes About Planting A Kiss On Justin Bieber

Starlet says Bieber's fans on Twitter were cool about the smooch.

When Justin Bieber flirted with superstar vixen Kim Kardashian last summer, his fans lobbed tons of e-hate her way. But luckily for Christina Milian, she got off easy when she tweeted a picture of her smooching the teen superstar on the cheek.

MTV News recently caught up with the singer/actress, and she dished about meeting the "Baby" crooner — and giving the Biebs some sugar — while both were shooting separate episodes of the crime drama "CSI."

"When I walked in the trailer, I didn't know Justin was gonna be there. And I was like, 'Oh my gosh, you're here!' I guess he was waiting in the trailer, in the makeup trailer — not mine, but the makeup trailer — and I got to meet him for a second. I was like, 'Hey, do you mind after I get my makeup and hair done, let's take a picture after we're done shooting?' He was like, 'Of course,' " she said. The "Dip It Low" songstress said she was upfront with Bieber about sharing her affection. "So I hunted him down after lunch because I was done working for the day, and I was like, 'I was thinking of planting a kiss on you. Do you mind?' I went with the cheek."

Milian quickly laughed off any idea that the two are canoodling full-time.

"I did it for fun, anyway, and the whole hype and everybody always talking about this whole thing that happened at New Year's with Justin," Milian said of the major attention the teen star got when he was spotted vacationing with Selena Gomez. "So I was like, 'How fun would it be if I actually just kissed him on the cheek?' I had a little humor to go with it and tweeted it, like, immediately, and I got a billion responses."

However, unlike Kardashian, Bieber's legions of fans didn't rip the starlet apart.

"So far, no death threats. Everybody was really nice. I made sure to say, 'Hey, ladies, don't be mad. Guys, don't hate,' " she said. "But I think everybody knows I'm a lightweight. I like to have fun. It's not serious; I'm not trying to take your man. And he's, hello, 16 or something? So let's keep it really real. But he is a cutie pie. But yeah, all the girls handled it pretty well. They were like, 'Oh my gosh, how cute! You're so lucky!' And I was like, 'Well, maybe it'll be you too,' and I even wrote back to a couple of them. They were really nice."

No Justin Bieber-Centric 'Glee' Episode Planned

'Those [tributes] are reserved for artists with big catalogs,' co-creator Ryan Murphy explains.
By Mawuse Ziegbe

Bad news for Beliebers: A Justin Bieber "Glee" tribute episode isn't happening anytime soon.

After rumors began to swirl that Bieber Fever was slated to sweep McKinley High, Ryan Murphy, the co-creator of the Fox hit cleared up the role of the teen star's music in an upcoming episode. Murphy maintained that unlike other superstars whose repertories have received "Glee" overhauls — like Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Madonna — Bieber's current list of hits isn't long enough to sustain an entire hour of New Directions-helmed numbers.

"Those [tributes] are reserved for artists with big catalogs," he told Entertainment Weekly. However, this season of "Glee" won't be completely Bieber-free: "Bieber comes up in episode 13 as a small plot point. Sam [Chord Overstreet] sings a JB song to win Quinn's [Dianna Agron] approval."

Murphy has recently been giving up more details about some of the storylines and smash hits set to turn up on "Glee." Gwyneth Paltrow will return to reprise her role as feisty substitute teacher Holly Holliday for a two-episode arc that includes dating glee-club leader Will Schuester. The hit show will also take a chance on Gaga's soon-to-be released single "Born This Way," which will serve as inspiration for an episode airing in either March or April.

"I love that that song is [an] anthem," Murphy explained of giving the track major "Glee" love.

Britney Spears' 'Hold It Against Me' Tops Billboard Digital Songs Chart

Single debuts at #1 and breaks Taylor Swift's previous sales record.

Don't hold it against her, but Britney Spears has a hit on her hands. Her new track, "Hold It Against Me," which was released last week, topped the Billboard Digital Songs chart.

The Dr.Luke/ Max Martin-produced song, the lead single from the singer's yet-untitled March album, sold 411,000 downloads in its first week available for purchase. The debut also means that Spears broke a record. According to Billboard, that is Spears' best sales week for a digital song as well as largest debut for a woman as a lead artist. She beat out the record previously held by Taylor Swift. In February, Swift's "Today Was a Fairytale" sold 325,000 downloads; incidentally, Swift broke the record previously held by Spears when that track debuted at the top of the charts.

Spears bumps Bruno Mars' "Grenade" to #2; Wiz Khalifa moved up the chart to #3 with "Black and Yellow," followed by Katy Perry's "Firework," which dropped two spots to #4. Other newcomers to the chart include Avril Lavigne's "What the Hell" at #6 and Jay-Z and Kanye West's collaboration, "H.A.M.," at #10. Enrique Iglesias' "Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)" (#5), the Black Eyed Peas' "The Time (Dirty Bit)" (#7), Lil Wayne's "6 Foot 7 Foot" (#8) and Ke$ha's "We R Who We R" (#9) round out the top 10.

Spears is also the top seller on iTunes. Last week, when the song was released, Spears immediately jumped to the top of the iTunes charts in 16 countries. "This is absolutely incredible!" her manager Adam Leber tweeted last week's about the song's success. "Brit's fans never cease to amaze me."

Robert Pattinson Says 'Water For Elephants' Felt Like 'Big Movie'

'It felt totally different from doing something within the 'Twilight' world,' he tells MTV News of stretching beyond vampire role.

For all of the Robert Pattinson fans counting down the days until your favorite actor hits the big screen again, know that there's now just about three months (94 days, to be exact) until the "Twilight" hunk's next movie, "Water for Elephants," opens.

When MTV News caught up with Pattinson at Sunday's Golden Globes (he co-presented the award for Best Foreign Film), we asked whether he thought "Elephants" was a big stepping stone for him, acting-wise.

"I think so," he said. "It definitely felt like I was doing a big movie when I was doing it and it felt totally different from doing something within the 'Twilight' world because now it just seems so familiar, the 'Twilight' stuff. It's just like going to a normal job, doing that," he explained of playing vampire Edward Cullen in the franchise.

Pattinson's "Elephants" co-star Reese Witherspoon told MTV News recently that she couldn't help but agree with millions of fans about one thing: "He is extraordinarily attractive," she told us. "I'm not gonna lie."

Witherspoon shares a kiss with Rpattz in the upcoming film and a new photo of the two in a lip-lock may make more than a few "Twilight" fans jealous.

But Witherspoon was quick to add that Pattinson is attractive both inside — and out.

"Robert is such a great guy from a great family," she told us last month. "That's the thing that's so funny. He's not really this bad boy; he's just a great guy and really worked hard on 'Water for Elephants.' He really worked long hours, long days. He looks totally different in the movie."

Are you looking forward to how Reese compares to KStew as an onscreen leading lady to RPattz? Tell us in the comments!
